So I heard that Fighting is Magic is cancelled due to a cease and desist letter from Hasbro.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I understand Hasbro has to protect their intellectual property rights, sure. I’ll never understand why they felt it was acceptable to wait until Fighting is Magic was near completion to issue said cease and desist letter, after all that work they put in.

Maybe a few months into development, even maybe a half a year…. but so close to completion? That’s when they stop them dead in their tracks? That’s just not right, that makes me sick to my stomach.

A lot of love I had for MLP in general has been kind of sucked right out of me.

I thought about it, and I don’t want to just abandon this blog, because you guys, my followers, are awesome, but I don’t want to have MLP characters in this blog anymore. So, I’m going to be rewriting Honey Dew. I don’t know if she’ll continue to be a pegasus or what, but I’m going to see if I can’t find some inspiration somewhere and make Honey Dew fairly original in terms of not being part of the world of Equestria.

I’m not going to remove all the posts I’ve done thus far immediately, but expect them to be gone in the future sometime, probably when I’m ready to update again.

Sorry about the lack of official updates guys. I lost a lot of time scraping attempts at the next update because my inking skills were quite lacking, that and it’s very time consuming. :S
